30 Things about Me

Today is my birthday. It is a special birthday. I turn 30.

30 on 30…haha.

I am such a dork.

My husband really wanted to take me to New York to see Nate Berkus and Martha Stewart (they are being canceled)  for my birthday but tickets were sold out. I could think of million other places that we could visit but unfortunately the costs was too high. So long story short no special trip for me. Oh, well! As long as I get to spend it with family and friends I am okay. Now to make things more interesting I want to share thirty random things about me.

 

1. 1. I do not like talking about myself, but I do like talking about my life.

2.  I am a shy person. Don’t do well in big groups.
3. I am only 5’3”.
4. I do not like to eat plain ice cream. It has to be something like “ triple chocolate mocha” or “   raspberry white chocolate” or “smores cookie”
5. I love chocolate and Coke. I have them everyday.
6. I love to sing but cannot carry a tune.
7. I love the beach. Growing up I had a view of the Black Sea and lived less than 1/4 of a mile away from the beach.
8. I am a city person at heart. My husband is not.
9. I love being outdoors.
10. I love reading books. Unfortunately I barely get to do this any more.


11. My favorite color is blue.
12. My name is not Megan.
13. My name is Magdalena.  During high school it was easier for kids( my non friends) to pronounce Megan. I really hated not using my real name. No my legal name is still Magdalena and it’s used by my friends and family.
14. I have been married for almost 6 years.
15. I spend most of my college days sleeping in class. Couldn’t help it! After all, who can stand 4 hour long class? I still graduated with 3.8 gpa.
16. I am not a morning person. So is my daughter!
17. My current favorite shows are “Once Upon a Time” and “The Good Wife”
18. I am right handed.
19. I love to travel. I wish I could travel the world.
20. I visited a concentration camp in Poland when I was 9.



21. I have a famous baseball player and ex-football player in my family from my husband’s side. We last saw them during the holiday season.
22. I don’t like people taking photos of me but I like having photos of me to look at. Hence the reason why I get family photos done by a professional every year.
23. Christmas and my birthday are my favorite holidays.
24. Cinderella is my favorite princess. Rapunzel with her frying pan and Ariel are second best!
25. Lilies are my favorite flowers.
26. I don’t like herbs aka “the green stuff”. If there are any herbs in my food I will not eat it. I’m just simply a picky eater.
27. I am a day dreamer.
28. I love seeing other people’s homes. I am nosy like that. I always have been like this as back as I can remember. Thank God for blogs!
29. I love getting mail! Not bills, personal mail and magazines.
30. I love comedy! Wish my family was a comedy.
